University Livestream
Enjoy a live view of several locations on our beautiful San Marcos campus in the Texas Hill Country.
Landmarks
The Quad
With Old Main anchoring one end and the Fighting Stallions sculpture at the other, the Quad is a focal point of campus. Student organizations promote upcoming events along this busy, tree-lined path.
Old Main
This red-roofed, castle-like landmark was Texas State’s first building, opening in 1903. Today, Old Main houses the College of Fine Arts and Communication and the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The Arch
Connecting two halves of Trauth-Huffman Hall, the arch frames a grand view over historic downtown San Marcos. THH is the home base for several academic programs, the Personalized Academic and Career Exploration (PACE) Center and more.
Alkek Library
With more than 1.5 million print volumes, almost 100,000 electronic journals and a variety of learning spaces, Alkek Library is a vital campus resource. The library’s seventh floor is home to the Wittliff Collections.
