The Center for Texas Music History at Texas State University is the only comprehensive, university-based program devoted to the preservation and study of Texas's musical heritage.  By examining the musical traditions of all major ethnic groups throughout the state's history, the Center has developed a unique and exciting program designed to give students, scholars, and the public a better understanding of how Texas music reflects the rich history and tremendous cultural diversity of the Southwest.

The Center for Texas Music History is funded through the generous donations of those who want to help preserve and study the Southwest's musical heritage.

Here's how to donate:

  • To donate directly to the Center for Texas Music History, click on the “Donate” button on the right side of this screen and search for “Center for Texas Music History - Operating.” This donation will help us directly with programming and preservation efforts at the Center.
  • Or, you can contribute to the Center's Kent Finlay or Tommy Foote memorial scholarship endowments by typing those in the search field.

Thank you so much for your support!
