A Message from the Associate Vice President

Welcome to Texas State University and the Office of International Affairs! We are very excited that you have come to our page, whether it’s to explore coming to join us here in San Marcos, to get supported as a current student, to explore your options abroad, or to partner with us. Our Office of International Affairs is here to help you in your endeavors.  

International Affairs directs and supports the activity of five constituent units: Education Abroad, International Recruitment and Partnerships, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), Passport Services Office (PSO), and Texas State’s Intensive English Program (TSIE).

We are focused on four main strategic priorities:

Increase TXST’s global visibility and reach in order to achieve a higher brand recognition and increase the international student population.

Support international students’ academic, cultural, and social growth by providing quality services.

Create a sustainable future for our TSIE program to support the language needs of future English as a second language learners.

Increase study abroad participation of faculty and students at TXST by embracing new opportunities and facilitating the issuance of passports.
