About
In 2007, University College became a degree-granting college, offering the individualized, interdisciplinary Bachelor of General Studies (BGS). Ten students were candidates for graduation with a BGS in the spring 2008 commencement ceremony. Nearly 60 students were BGS graduates at the most recent commencement ceremony in Fall 2019.
The degree allows students to combine three areas of study and offers a path to graduation for those with multidisciplinary interests, for those who want to design an individual degree, and for those seeking to achieve personal educational goals. Over 500 students are currently pursuing a Bachelor of General Studies degree.
