The Department of History at Texas State offers the B.A., M.A., and M.Ed. degrees, annually servicing over 475 undergraduate and 80 graduate majors, and provides instruction to close to 10,000 students each year. Our department has over thirty full-time, Ph.D.-holding faculty who offer a wide variety of courses spanning the globe in coverage while also conducting ground-breaking research.
Our graduate studies program specifically offers students four areas of study: United States History, World History, European History, and Public History.
