The Clery Act encourages accurate and timely reporting of campus crime statistics. An important goal of the Clery Act is to provide information to the campus community to promote crime awareness and to enhance campus safety through prompt disclosures and reliable statistics for campus area crimes. Use this online form to help provide timely reports of Clery Act qualifying crimes and mandated policy violations to the Texas State University Police Department.

To maintain a research environment that promotes the highest standards of integrity and ethics, Texas State has established UPPS NO. 02.02.07, Research Conflicts of Interest in Research and Sponsored Program Activities. Its purpose is to promote objectivity in research and ensure all research and sponsored program activities conducted by university researchers are free from bias resulting from conflicts of interest (COI). In order to submit a proposal, initiate a contract, or open a grant account, you must have a current disclosure of Significant Financial Interests (SFI) on file.

When a copyright owner's work is being infringed on or through a university service, the copyright owner may send a notification of claimed infringement (often referred to as a "takedown notice") to the designated agent.

Reports filed regarding the System or a System component using the form provided are investigated by individuals who are independent of System and component management.

The university has a Faculty Ombudsperson, appointed by the President, who is designated as a neutral party to assist with faculty grievances. They neither operate as an employee or a management advocate but are empowered to develop procedures, consistent with university policy, and facilitate timely and equitable management of faculty issues.

The university community is encouraged to report suspected fraud, waste, lack of compliance with laws or regulations, abuse of state funds, or Code of Ethics violations. The well-being of all Bobcats, especially students, is of paramount concern for Texas State. As members of this community, we are all Here to Help. The primary goal of this site and initiative is to provide an easily-accessible reporting site where faculty, staff, and students can report concerning student behavior that might adversely impact a student or our university community.

Per UPPS.07.10.01 - Honor Code, the university expects faculty and students to respect and follow the Honor Code. For students, this means that all academic work will be done by the individual to whom it's assigned, without unauthorized aid of any kind. Students are strongly encouraged to communicate with their respective instructors if there is a question of whether or not a study practice, activity or any other student behavior falls under the umbrella of academic misconduct. If you believe an Honor Code violation has occurred, report it via the online form.

The Information Security Office (ISO) encourages Bobcats to report security incidents as soon as they are discovered. Incidents involving university information resources which require reporting include but are not limited to: inadvertent exposure, data loss, data corruption, ransomware or malware, physical destruction of information resources, defacement, fraud, and theft. 

iWatchTexas is a tool students, faculty, staff, and families can use to report suspicious activity, whether on campus or in their communities. It is designed to supplement ongoing campus efforts and resources by providing a single, statewide reporting system that enables tips from different parts of the state and local communities to be reported back to schools allowing for potential interventions that enhance safety.

Users may anonymously submit reports online at iwatchtx.org, through the iWatchTexas mobile app, or by calling 844-643-2251. All reports are directed to one of eight fusion centers in Texas, which are staffed by intelligence professionals. Personnel monitor and review reports and work with law enforcement at the state, local, and federal levels. 

Texas State is committed to providing an environment dedicated to teaching and research. Faculty and staff must inform the university when they are seeking or hold other employment or positions. This allows the university to determine whether there are real, potential, or perceived conflicts of interests that may arise from engaging in outside consulting, employment, and other activities.

The University Police Department (UPD) welcomes all types of feedback on their activities. If you are concerned about your interactions with the UPD and want to file a complaint, visit their online form.

The University Police Department (UPD) provides the campus community with an Anonymous Tip Line form to report crimes that take place on campus. The UPD monitors tips during normal business hours. 

The Environmental Health, Safety, Risk & Emergency Management office encourages Bobcats to report any unsafe campus conditions they encounter, such as trip/slip risks, electrical dangers, and traffic hazards via their online Safety Hazard Report or Incident Report form.

Texas State is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination. The Office of Equal Opportunity & Title IX provides resources to students, faculty and staff to address concerns regarding discrimination on the basis of sex, which includes sexual misconduct. 

Per the Texas State Univeristy System Sexual Misconduct Policy, Bobcats are encouraged to report sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and discrimination. Individuals can file reports on behalf of someone else, anonymously, or using a pseudonym.
