Apply to Teach or Intern
Teaching or Interning for University Seminar
Teaching Requirements
Staff members must be in an exempt position (exempt from overtime). If you are unsure of your employment status, you may contact HR at 512.245.2557.
Applicants must have a minimum of a master's degree.
Payment
Faculty are paid a $1,800 stipend for each US 1100 section taught. The stipend is divided into four equal payments in the fall (October 1, November 1, December 1, and January 1) and five equal payments in the spring (February 1, March 1, April 1, May 1, and June 1).
Spring Sections
Fewer sections of US 1100 are offered in the spring. Because the number of sections is limited, everyone who applies may not be scheduled to teach. Spring sections are offered first to those with at least two fall semesters of prior experience teaching US 1100.
