FACTS offers workshops and short courses in forensic anthropology, search and recovery methods, discrimination between human and non-human bone, histological methods, and advanced methods in forensic anthropology. Many of our courses are accredited by the American Board of Medical Death Investigators and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
We can also customize courses to meet your needs.

How do I register for the workshop?
You register for the workshop by submitting payment through our third-party website. The button is in yellow above this FAQ section and is linked on every individual workshop page.

Do I need to submit full payment when I register?
Each workshop has different registration requirements. Most require at minimum a $100.00 deposit to hold a place with full payment due one month before the start date of the course. Please follow the instruction on the payment portal for your particular course.

If I am no longer able to attend, can I receive a refund?
Each workshop has its own refund policy. Most require a written request for a refund at least one month prior to the start date of the course. For those workshops that allow refunds, a 20% administration fee will be retained. Please read the course description carefully to see if it qualifies for a refund.

What is included in the registration fee?
The workshop includes the tuition for the course. No transportation, accommodation, or food is included. There are some exceptions for K9 courses that do include lunch. Please read the description of the workshop carefully.

What happens if a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances?
If there is a natural disaster, global pandemic, or unforeseen circumstances, the workshop may be rescheduled. If all participants cannot attend they will have the option to receive a refund or attend in a future year. FACTS is not responsible for any other associated costs for canceled courses due to natural disasters or pandemics.
