The 36th Infantry Division Band

The “Lone Star” Concert Band is the “premier” ensemble of the 36th Infantry Division Band, the 36th Infantry Division, and the Texas Army National Guard. Formed in 1937 “on the circle” in New Braunfels, Texas, this 55-member ensemble tours the great State of Texas performing for young and old alike in diverse settings ranging from the traditional concert hall stage to outdoor concerts in the park. Repertoire for the three-time Sousa Foundation COL Howard Citation Award winning unit includes marches, classical band literature, instrumental and vocal solos, and of course selections that instill pride celebrating both our uniquely Texas culture and American heritage.
