Spring 2023 Events
"The Crossroads Project: An Undertold Story."
The Center for Diversity and Gender Studies and The Dunbar Heritage Association will celebrate Black History Month through an exhibit entitled, "The Crossroads Project: An Undertold Story." This will be on display on the 4th floor of the Alkek Library at Texas State. It is a visual story of Mr. Harvey Miller's idea for the LBJ MLK Crossroads Memorial and how it came to be.
TXST Zine Fest
Zines have a long history with marginalized and activist communities, as well as artists. It is a medium that is centered on the empowerment of voices that are otherwise unheard and is a celebration of diversity and humanity. Sharing this medium and culture with students, as well as providing a space through which artists can share their work and ideas is an invaluable contribution to the goal of empowering students and our Texas State and San Marcos community.
