RGK Foundation Supports Texas State's Mathworks Endowment
San Marcos - August 15, 2011
Texas State University has announced a $250,000 donation given by the RGK Foundation to support Mathworks programs. This significant donation will support the Texas Mathworks “Legacy Campaign,” an endowment that establishes ongoing support for core programs that impact middle and high school students in doing high-level mathematics. Funds will provide critical resources for the renowned Junior and Honors Summer Math Camp programs, math teacher training, and the Mathworks curriculum project.
"We are extremely delighted to receive this gift from the RGK Foundation. Starting as one of the earliest supporters of Mathworks more than 20 years ago, the Foundation has continued to be a key partner of each new Mathworks program. Texas State, and Mathworks, will use this donation to continually provide opportunities to young students to do advanced mathematics. Investing in our students’ futures is one of the most important things we can do to inspire the next generation of mathematicians, scientists, and innovators," said Dr. Max Warshauer, Director of Mathworks and Regents Professor of Mathematics.

We applaud the tireless work of Mathworks’ founder and director, Dr. Warshauer, as well as the leadership of Gail and Jeff Kodosky in pledging $1.2M in matching funds to endow this innovative program.”
