Kinder Morgan Foundation Donates to Mathworks Summer Math Programs
San Marcos, TX - December 16, 2013
The Kinder Morgan Foundation has awarded $3,500 to Mathworks at Texas State University, in support of the center's 2014 summer math programs. This donation will provide invaluable opportunities to middle school and high school students from the Houston area to attend the Junior Summer Math Camp (JSMC) and Honors Summer Math Camp (HSMC). Celebrating its 25th year in 2014, the HSMC attracts students from across the state, and world, developing their creative and critical thinking abilities. The Kinder Morgan Foundation's donation will give students of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds access to a high quality summer academic program.
About the Kinder Morgan Foundation
The Kinder Morgan Foundation believes that today's youth are tomorrow's leaders, and our mission is to provide them with opportunities to learn and grow. Our goal is to help today's science, math and music students become the engineers, educators and musicians who will support our diverse communities for many years to come. To accomplish this goal, we fund programs that promote the academic and artistic interests of young people in the many cities and towns across North America where Kinder Morgan operates.
