Mathworks Celebrates 25 Years Of Excellence And Innovation

Mathworks celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a reception and banquet at the Onion Creek Country Club in Austin.  The center for mathematics education marked 25 years of excellence and innovation across its pillars of summer math programs, teacher professional development, and curriculum design.  In attendance were representatives from the 3M Company, the KLE Foundation, the RGK Foundation, and Sarah and Ernest Butler.  Mike Starbird, professor of mathematics at UT-Austin, gave the keynote speech about the challenges and opportunites in education that society faces.  Two Mathworks alumni, Cody Patterson and Alexandra Ilic, shared a few words about the impact of the Mathworks programs on their degree and career trajectories.
