Texas State takes advising students very seriously. Academic Advising starts in your first semester and continues through with Professors and career advising.
College of Science & Engineering (COSE) Advising
Advising is available from 1st year on. Once a major is selected, the student will have an Advising Center to help. The College of Science & Engineering (COSE) assists with degree audits, general core questions, and certifies students for graduation. The those students that are undecided, the Exploratory Advising center can help.
Department Faculty Advising
All enrolled Engineering Technology students are assigned a department faculty advisor based on current major and the last 2 digits of your student ID. For department advising, please review the Advising List below to locate your assigned advisor.
