Common Experience presents The Bajío Project

Documentary covering  the impact of globalization on migration trends and lives of women of the Bajío Region in Mexico. The 60-minute documentary will be aired, followed by a question-and-answer session with two of the filmmakers, Martina Guzman and Monique Velasquez.   Centennial Hall Teaching Theater, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Department of Philosophy and the Center for Multicultural and Gender Studies.

A day of remembrance of Mexico’s cry for independence from Spain began when Father Miguel Hidalgo called for a fight for liberty. This was the beginning of the 10-year war for independence.
