Peace Corps Prep Program

What is the Peace Corps?

Established in 1961 by the U.S. Government, the Peace Corps is a highly respected and competitive volunteer program that sends U.S. citizens to serve in communities around the world. Volunteers live and work side by side with community members on locally prioritized projects, building relationships, exchanging cultures and knowledge, and helping transform lives for generations.

Visit the Peace Corps' website to find out more about what volunteer options and requirements there are,  what volunteers do, benefits, countries you can serve in, and more.

What is Peace Corps (PC) Prep?

Students in the PC Prep program take academic coursework and gain practical field experience related to one of the six sectors that align with Peace Corps volunteer assignments. Students develop foreign language skills, enhance intercultural competence, and participate in professional and leadership development activities. While the PC Prep program does not guarantee acceptance into the Peace Corps, you will gain skills which are an advantage in the competitive application process and in other international development work. Being part of the program is a powerful way to demonstrate to any future employer that you can think and act with global understanding and cultural awareness.

PC Prep Application

Peace Corps Prep applications are accepted on a rolling basis and you can apply online anytime.
