Mathworks attends the 2025 San Marcos STEAM Fair
Mathworks attended the 2025 S.T.E.A.M. fair on Saturday, April 5 at San Marcos high school. Hundreds of people came out to support the event and learn about STEAM related opportunities in the community.
Mathwors offers summer math camps for students K-12. At this event, we focused on the Junior Summer Math Camp (half-day) for students in grades 3 - 8. The camps will run from June 2 - 12, Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm and will be held at Miller Middle School. The camp offers five levels to choose from so students can return year after year to learn math at a high level. What do we teacher these younger students?
- Level 1 (for 3rd and 4th grade students) learn middle school 6th grade math.
- Level 2 (for 4th and 5th grade students) learn middle school 7th grade math.
- Level 3 (for 5th and 6th grade students) learn middle school 8th grade math.
- Level 4 (for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students) learn combinatorics and permutations.
- Level 5 (for 7th, and 8th grade students) learn logical reasoning and number theory.
Students learn thru games and fun activities that teach the fundamentals of math. We believe and have the proof that young students can do high level math. Come join us! We offer $$scholarships$$. Click this link to apply now!
The Dice Guessing Game!
Mathworks offered a fun guessing game with dice. The game is to guess how many dice (everything in the far is considered dice) are in the jar. The person with the closest guess without going over will win a backpack full of fun math games.
We had 41 people register their guess with the the lowest number 53 to the highest number of 1100. The actual number of dice was 252. Our winning guess was 251 by P. Torres. Great work!
