What is The STUDY?
The STUDY is the tutoring component of the Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC), Texas State's longest standing tutoring center, and staffs student tutors who specialize in math, science, business, and more. With it's main location being the 4th Floor of the Alkek Library, The STUDY also has an additional location in on the west side of campus in Falls & Sayers Residence Hall which is open to any current TXST student. Primarily a walk-in service, The STUDY does not require an appointment, and one tutor may be helping multiple students across multiple subjects at the same time. The STUDY also has the option for students to make an appointment to work as a small group on specific subjects. Being funded by various fees means that there is no additional cost to receive tutoring—you have already paid for this service!
