University Seminar (US 1100) helps incoming freshmen transition to college life and is designed to be taken during a student’s first semester at Texas State. Its small class setting allows students to get to know each other as well as their instructor.
US 1100 Objectives
- Identify common challenges of university life and strategies to be successful at Texas State.
- Explain the main purposes and functions of the university and how they support student goals.
- Apply practical learning skills, concepts, and services that will promote students’ academic success.
- Relate university studies to personal enrichment, life-long learning, and civic responsibility.
- Describe the importance of building and participating in an inclusive and supportive Bobcat community.
