Overview

All student organizations, residence halls, fraternity and sorority chapter teams must register using the Bobcat Organization Hub to be eligible to compete for spirit competition points during the 2024 Homecoming Spirit Competitions.

All registrations MUST BE SUBMITTED no later than:
Friday, November 1, 2024
5:00 PM

By registering, your organization hereby acknowledges the following:
The organization/team has read and will abide by the rules and regulations specified in the 2024 Homecoming Spirit Stick Competition Official Rule Book and Texas State University – Student Handbook

Scoring & Points

Spirit boards are judged by a committee. Points will be given based on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements and honorable mention.

1st place: 8 pts
2nd place: 6 pts
3rd place: 4 pts
Honorable mention: 2 pts

Deadline to sign up: 
Fri., November 1

Points are given based on organization participation.

10 points for organization participation.

President’s Cup participants receive bonus points if they place in the Homecoming Spirit Stick Competition. 

1st place:  10 points
2nd place:  8 points
3rd place:  6 points

Points are given based off organization participation through tabling.

1 point per racer
2 points for organization tabling

Points for placement
1st: 8 points
2nd: 6 points
3rd: 4 points

Points are given based on the number of items donated throughout the week at identified Homecoming events.

1 to 40 items: 2 pts
41 to 60 items: 4 pts
61 to 80 items: 6 pts
81 to 100 items: 8 pts

Points are given based on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements.

1st place: 8 pts
2nd place: 6 pts
3rd place: 4 pts

5 points are rewarded for the best soapbox derby car decoration
