In case you’ve been wondering why 6/20 was the last posting, there are two reasons.
- The university shut down webpage updating access for two weeks in order to update the software that manages the webpage-editing.
- The proverbial internet connection issues – nuff said, eh?
Coffee update
- I'm finding my favorite at my coffee shop is “black coffee on ice”.

“G7” is the trifecta of the instant coffee world: robusta bean coffee, powdered non-dairy creamer, and sugar.
If you're a connoisseur of Vietnamese coffee, it won't surprise you when I say this small 16g packet of Vietnamese coffee packs a heck of a punch! The package informs me each packet has 12.5 % robusta coffee and 0.25% caffeine. Keep in mind this product is designed to be mixed in 75 ml of hot water (2.5 fl oz).
Some notable-quotables written in English on the individual package include:
- “The energy coffee that changes life” and
- “Special Energy E ≠ mc2 ”
A notable quote written in English on the larger package that contains the 50 smaller packets:
- “Without my morning coffee, I”m just like a dried up piece of roast goat" - Johann Sebastian Bach
- Interestingly, the Vietnamese quote above the English translation says: “Không có cà phê buồi sang, cuộc đời cùa tôi khô khan và vô vị”, which translate to “Without morning coffee, my life is dry and tasteless”. I think both statements are accurate. I have certainly felt like a dried up piece of roast goat when I haven't had my morning cup-o-Joe.
I’m uncertain what the man and woman dressed in business attire walking away from the black-ops helicopter signifies? but then, I'm not employed in advertising.
Can you get this in the US? Perhaps you can buy it at a store specializing in Vietnamese foods. That said, you can always buy G7 3in1 from your favorite internet big box company. You know the one I’m talking about…
