Graduate Assistantships
Graduate Assistantship (GA) positions are available for students in the Student Affairs in Higher Education master's program at Texas State University. GA positions are available at Texas State University and at partner universities in the region. The positions are designed to provide students hands-on experience to complement coursework and to prepare students for professional practice.
Graduate Assistantship Information:
- Positions average 20 hours worked per week.
- Students are paid according to number of hours worked per pay period, and positions do not include paid vacation, sick leave, or paid university observed holidays.
- Out-of-state students and international students are eligible for in-state tuition when holding a GA position at Texas State University.
- Information on the GA Interview Process can be found here. The GA Interview Process is limited to students admitted to the Student Affairs in Higher Education master's program.
2025-2026 Graduate Assistantship Positions
Graduate Assistantship positions available for the 2025-2026 academic year will be made available in January. Newly admitted students to the Student Affairs in Higher Education master's program will be sent information via email on how to apply for the positions.
