Clouds…
When I was young, like many kids do, I used to lie on my back on our lawn and look up at the clouds. I was fascinated how, with a little help from my imagination, a phenomenon called pareidolia (seeing meaningful images in random shapes or ambiguous patterns), and high altitude wind currents, the clouds would momentarily change into familiar faces, objects, etc. To this day, I love to look at clouds and let my imagination and pareidolia take over.
Do you see a mama bear chasing two baby bears?
Maybe this will help those of you without a child's imagination…
…and what do you see here? (like what I did with the sky color?)
maybe you see this Vietnamese unicorn?…maybe you don't…
I could easily see myself as a storm chaser. I really like storm clouds. These monsoon clouds below appeared just before a hard deluge of rain last week. I took this from my apartment window. The picture below is taken just moments later. Although you could easily think that there is a funnel cloud appearing in the left of the picture, it is simply a wisp of cloud… What I particularly like about these two pictures is that you can really see how loaded they are with moisture.
