Professional Counseling Performance Evaluation (PCPE)
The Professional Counseling Performance Evaluation (PCPE) form was developed by the faculty in the Professional Counseling program to objectively assess student skills and dispositions in the program.
The form is used to assess professional, basic, and advanced skills in all clinical courses, including basic skills (COUN 5354), intermediate methods (COUN 5360, 5366, 5370, 5373), clinical practicum (COUN 5689), and site-based internship (COUN 5389) courses. This evaluation form was updated in 2021.
The PCPE may also be used to provide feedback to a student regarding deficiencies in skills or professional behavior, or not meeting program standards and ethical guidelines.
Students must keep all performance evaluations throughout the program and submit them as part of the application for admission to Clinical Practicum and Site-based Internship.
